BASIL - GREEK MINI BALL - ORGANIC

Ocimum basilicum

Greek Mini Ball is an attractive compact, small leafed herb with aromatic leaves about 15mm long and an aromatic zesty basil flavour. It grows in a ball shape and tolerates pruning very well but does not need pruning to keep its round shape. It is ideal for pots, borders and tubs and looks lovely on patios and window boxes. It stays dwarf and mound-shaped all season until frost comes calling. It displays a cloud of white flowers covering the surface in late summer. Highly flavourful and fragrant. Very much a warm season herb. It does not tolerate frosts.

Basil appreciates added organic matter in the soil. Should be grown in full sun and will rapidly grow in warm weather. Direct sow in spring. Plant seeds just under the surface and keep moist until they germinate. Thin seedlings to 30cm apart. Keep moist, but not wet and pinch out seed heads to help prolong life of this basil plant.
