This delicious lime scented and rich lemon flavoured basil is highly prized for use in fish dishes and vinegars. It is used to season grilled, or steamed dishes, and soup and stew dishes. Mrs Burns has rich green leaves and white flowers with serrated leaves. It should be grown in a spot receiving six hours of direct sunlight. It is actually quite hardy and will grow continuously given only water. Very much a warm season herb it does not tolerate frosts. Basil appreciates added organic matter in the soil and should be grown in full sun. It will rapidly grow in warm weather. Direct sow in spring and thin seedlings to 30cm apart. Keep soil moist, but not wet. Pinch out seed heads to help prolong life of basil plants and encourage a spreading form. QTY 0.50 g approx 300 seeds
