Wom Bok can be grown all year round in Tropical
and SubTropical areas but does best in cooler
conditions and grows all year round in Cool and
Temperate areas as well. It does not like hot dry
conditions. It is a great addition to a stir-fry or
added to salads or soups. Plant the seeds directly,
0.5-1cm deep in richly composted damp soil for
best results. It can be transplanted from
seedlings in cooler areas but is very quick to grow.
Thin plants to 20-30cm apart in rows 30-50cm
apart and keep moist to ensure fast uniform growth.
Harvest the outer leaves when they appear ready
and cut the mature plant when the head tightens.
