golf ball. It has an unusual shape giving rise to its name. It
grows to 70-90cm tall and can be grown in pots and outdoors.
The flavour is very rich and fruity and is classified as very hot
at heat rating of 80,000–400,000 Scoville units. The fruit
grows a green colour and matures through yellow to rich red
when fully ripe. It is a very popular variety in the Carribean
and right across the globe. The fruit take 72 days to fully
ripen. The plants need soil at 18C for the seed to germinate

apart in rows 1.0-1.5 m apart. Plant in the garden:-Tropical

Mild Temperate areas..Aug to Dec Cold Temperate
areas..Sep to Nov. In Temperate areas it is best to plant
using seedlings prepared a month to six weeks earlier.
Chillies like alkaline soil and do best in gardens with dolomite
or wood-ash added to the soil.
