MARIGOLD - PETITE ORANGE
MARIGOLD - PETITE ORANGE
Petite Orange is low growing, with double, orange flowers.
Marigolds are summer flowering annuals that are best sown in
spring or summer because they prefer the warm weather and
don't like frosts. They are used to attract many parasitic insects
that help protect your garden, and are excellent for suppressing
nematodes in the garde. They make an excellent companion plant
and also one o fthe best suppresants of twitch or couch grass.
On top of that their petals are added to salads, and add dash to a
variety of dishes. The leaves can be eaten and do not taste as
strong as they smell. They can be used to colour cheeses and
butter and added to teas.
