This is an adaptable, highly regarded red, elongated variety that is well suited to most Australian onion growing regions. It is ideally suited to use as a salad onion and the red colouring is very attractive It is an early to mid, maturing variety. Sow from early to mid May until the end of June in all areas. Onions like well limed soil rich in organic matter. Dig trenches 10 -15 cm wide, 5cm deep and then add fertiliser along the side of the trenches. Refill the trench and sow the seed in the centre of the previous trench. Space the seedlings approxim ately 10cm apart, with a space of 30 cm between each row. The onions will be ready for pulling and storing approximately 6 to 7 months from sowing the seed. QTY 0.80 gram Approx 200 seeds
