Dig trenches 10 -15 cm wide and 5cm deep and then add fertiliser along the side of the trenches. Refill the trench and sow the seed in the centre of the previous trench. Final spacings of seedlings should be approx. 10cm apart, with a space of 30 cm between each row. Onions will be ready for pulling and storing approx 6 to 7 months from sowing seed.
