It is a vigorous grower adapted to all areas. The fruit sweeter and
less tangy but with the same high quality. It tolerates heat, high
humidity and also cool conditions. The fruit is moderately sweet
and low to moderate in acidity. It is a prolific producer and
consistently produces 8-10 Kgs. of fruit in normal
conditions. The fruit have thin skins and will crack in
wet conditions.
ORIGIN Grosse Lisse (erroneously,
often thought to be Australian) originated USA 1760.
It was then introduced to the UK as Trophy from where
it was introduced into Australia. It is a cross between a
cherry tomato and a lumpy shaped red variety.
