BEAN - STRIKE - Bush
BEAN - STRIKE - Bush
This early type of bush bean produces large, erect plants that give high yields of fairly smooth straight pods about 12-15cm long and filled with white seeds. The beans are stringless and easy to pick. The large number of beans tend to mature over a short period of time; so staggered planting will ensure cropping over a longer period.

Beans are frost sensitive and should be planted once frosts are safely over. For best results direct seed into the garden and do not transplant out. Do not soak beans before plantingor they will rot. Rot is one of the commonest causes of failure when planting so ensure the soil is no more than damp and do not water until seedlings emerge. Plant the seeds about 15cm apart in drills spaced abot 30-45cm apart. Protect from strong winds keep soil moist after seedlings have emerged
