Cucumis sativus
This is a very good mild cucumber that is thin, long, has tapered ends and tastes excellent. The skin is thin and can be eaten without causing burps. It is a vigorous vine and it produces very well. It does best on a trellis. These cucumbers sell very well in Markets. This variety does very well both in hot and also in cool weather conditions. It has a strong firm but thin skin which can be quite easily digested. The fruit is most flavorful when it is 20-30cm long. Burpless cucumbers are great for pickling and slicing raw. The plants prefer to grow in full sun for most of the day and they cope with heat very well. Their inside flesh is apt to be 6C cooler than their skin.

The seeds should be sown 1-1.5cm deep, 40-50cm apart, in rows 1-1.5m apart. Sow the seeds from October to January in Cool and Temperate areas. From August to March in the Subtropics and March to September in the Tropics
