This variety is one of the most interesting cucumbers you will grow. It is ideal for, those living in a flat or for patio growing. The bush only reaches 70-90 cm across and produces heavy yields of 15-18cm fruit with thin skins and a delicious mild flavour. It is ideal for hanging baskets and pots. The fruit are produced rapidly and when small are ideal for pickling as gherkins. It is tolerant of cool conditions and will continue producing after other cucumbers have ceased.
The seeds should be sown 1-1.5cm deep 40-50cm apart in rows 1-1.5m apart. Sow the seeds from October to January in Cool and Temperate areas. From August to March in the Subtropics and March to September in the Tropics. They like lots of nutrition and respond very well to copious amounts of compost and seaweed. Do not allow the plants to dry out, for best results.
