Little Fingers is excellent for container gardening and good for encouraging children to develop an interest in gardening. It can mature in a little as 50-60 days and can be grown all year except for the mid winter period. It is highly sought after by restaurants and gourmets for the unique delicously sweet flavour. it is excellent for growing in pots, styrene boxes and even on your kitchen bench. It does well in shallow soils. It is a very popular seller in Farmer's Markets. In warm zones seed can be sown at almost any period of the year although mid-summer sowings are often best avoided.

The best months to sow in temperate zones are July through to March and in cold districts August to February. Deep sandy soil or heavy soils with good structure allow roots to grow and expand quickly. Direct Sow by marking out shallow furrows 20 - 30 cm apart and sow seed 6mm deep. Cover seed with vermiculite or seed raising mix, water gently and keep moist.
