BEETROOT - CYLINDRA
Cylindra is a long smooth dark red beet averaging 3-5cm in diameter and growing to 15-20cm in length. This makes it excellent for uniform slicing and for pickling and preserving in glass jars. The interior flesh is dark-red, free from rings, sweet and easy to peel. The roots grow almost entirely underground with small reddish-green tops. It will mature in 50 to 75 days.
Beetroot keeps well in the refrigerator for quite long periods.

Soak seeds for 4 hrs before planting for best results. Plant 15mm deep, 5-10cm apart in rows 25-30cm apart
Sow... Sept-Apr cool areas, July to April in Temperate areas and most of the year in Subtropical and Tropical areas.
Beetroot seed germinates very well in warm climates if kept dry in the refrigerator for 10 days prior to planting.
