COMMENTS: This plant is a large vigorous vine that will need strong support. The tomatoes should be picked when the fruit feels soft to the touch. It will change to a slightly yellow tinge only when fully ripe. The fruit is less appealing to many birds because they do not consider it ripe. The fruit is solid and dense fleshed with good mild but pleasantly flavoured. It is often considered to be the best flavoured of the green tomato varieties.
