DAIKON SEEDS for SPROUTING and MICROGREENS

Raphanus sativa

DIRECTIONS FOR SPROUTING

Daikon are a Japanese radish and the sprouts taste just like radishes and can be sprouted in a saucer, sieve, tray, or basket. Soak the seeds for 4-8 hours and rinse them 2-3 times a day for the 4-7 days they take to germinate. Eat them when the sprouts get to 2-5 cm in length. Radish sprouts are a valuable source of vitamins, especial C and folic acid which is good for strengthening the nerves. They are also rich in phytochemicals and minerals and especially rich in sulphur and silicon. The sulphur is valuable in gaining good skin health by stimulating blood flow to the body surface. Raphanin in radish sprouts helps keep thyroid hormones in balance. Radishes are very effective at cutting mucus levels, particularly in the digestive tract. They stimulate the liver, relax bile ducts, increase bile flow, and aid the digestion. They are good kidney cleansers and improve elimination.
