This variety is a Calabrese type which produces a mutitude of medium sized heads with a lovely rich green colour to the heads and the leaves. Broccoli has been known in Europe since Roman times but has only become widely popular in Australia in the last few decades. Broccoli is high in vitamins C, K and A, as well as dietry fibre. It also contains multiple nutrients with potent anti-cancer properties. Broccoli has been found to reduce the risk of aggressive prostate cancer.
